Microsoft to hike software prices in Russia 15% from Oct 1

MOSCOW, Jul 9 (PRIME) -- Microsoft will raise prices for software and cloud services in Russia about 15% from October 1, the U.S. company said on Friday in a statement.

“From October 1, 2021 prices in Russian rubles for all segments of commercial software and cloud services will approach the prices of Central and East Europe, where they are fixed in U.S. dollars. They will thus increase about 15.2% and will be in line with the U.S. dollar-denominated prices,” the company said.

The revision resulted from impact assessment of local prices for software and online services, held regularly by Microsoft, to ensure equal prices across the whole region.
